The experience of the Katim management and field staff is broad based. Over the years we have worked on varying projects that encompass outdoor recreation and environmental stewardship. While our list of achievements and project involvement is extensive, here are some highlights:
Ministry of Environment, BC Parks
Katim has been consistently contracted by the Ministry of Environment over the last ten years to manage facility and park improvements inclusive of campground and trail construction, backcountry trail and facility improvements, and project management services. A highlight for us was to win award of the Project Management of the Myra Canayon Trestles from 2005-2008. www.myratrestles.com
British Columbia Rail Trail Network (2000-2010)
Over the last ten years Katim has been managing works to improve the state of the rail trails in BC; The Great Northern Rail Trail, Slocan Valley Rail Trail, Columbia & Western Rail Trail and Kettle Valley Rail Trial. www.spiritof2010trail.ca Our management contracts have included improving the facility infrastructures and working with adjacent landowners to create a contiguous trail route. These rail trails make up 50% of BC’s Trans Canada Trail.
